The Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Straub Medical Center is committed to providing professional, high quality care to patients and their families. Straub cardiothoracic surgeons perform a variety of general procedures as well as surgical procedures of the heart (cardiac bypass grafts, correct aortic aneurysms, implant cardiac pacemakers or defibrillators to treat cardiac arrhythmia, and replace defective heart valves), lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest.

If you are compassionate, attentive and enjoy working with people, you could be the ideal candidate for our Nurse Practitioner position, where you will help to provide our signature high quality patient care to patients and their families. You will be delivering direct treatment, evaluation and technical procedures to a specific group of patients in an assigned unit, including health education, referrals to other disciplines and consultation with colleagues and other allied health personnel. We are looking for someone professional and nurturing, with excellent communication skills a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Two (2)

years nursing experience in related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. At least two (2) years’ experience as a FNP in surgery or critical care.
