At Straub Kapolei Clinic, the Urgent Access Clinic provides treatment of minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis in a medical facility outside the hospital emergency room. The Urgent Access Clinic offers general medical care, occupational medicine, X-ray's, vaccines, school and sports physicals and limited on-site prescriptions. It is especially convenient when patients cannot wait for an appointment or their doctor is on vacation.
As a Nurse Practitioner for Ward Urgent Care department, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate and life-changing care to newborns and their families. You will be responsible for the direct care and treatment of urgent care patients; leading and performing patient evaluations, treatments and specialized technical procedures; serving as a clinical resource to staff and physicians; and facilitating the health education of family members, referrals to other disciplines and consultation with other allied health personnel. We are looking for someone with warm and professional patient care skills, a love of working with babies and families and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
Under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Federal Vaccination Mandate, all health care workers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption from receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Two (2) years nursing experience in related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. At least two (2) years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care.
