Hawaii Pacific Health Physician - Neonatal Hospitalist in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Description

The Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is comprised of over 700 employed physicians and advanced practice providers. Our network of physicians and specialists work together to provide a distinctive and effective model of coordinated care for maintaining the health and wellness of our patients.

Position Duties: Diagnose and treat newborns who require hospitalization due to illnesses or other medical needs. These conditions can include infectious illnesses in the body, respiratory illnesses, treatment of chronic illnesses, common pediatric illnesses such as influenza, and recovery from injury or surgeries. Consult with obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists and neonatologists about conditions affecting newborn infants.

Position Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Must have 36 months of training in a residency in pediatrics. Must be board certified in pediatrics or eligible to sit for pediatrics board certification. Must have valid Hawaii medical license or eligibility. The position is required to work in assigned shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays. The shifts may vary from week to week to equate to 40 hours per week averaged over time.
